This is a fully self-led session, please be aware you must bring your own projects to work on and pay for the materials used separately. You are not guaranteed a wheel for the entire duration of the class, however we will accommodate as much as possible.

Unsure of whether Wheel Throwing or Hand Building is for you? Learn the basics of both during this six week course. The process of wheel throwing will be taught, from centering the clay to pulling walls.

You will also learn how to hand build through pinch pots, slab building and coiling; and during the final session you can decorate and glaze your creations before taking them home.

Intermediate Wheel Throwing is designed for those who already feel comfortable on the wheel and are ready to build confidence, refine their technique, and expand what they can make. This course is led by one of our experienced tutors, who will guide you through each stage of the process.

Across the sessions you’ll explore, design, and experiment! While developing the intermediate skills needed to create more complex ceramic pieces such as jars and vases.

Tailored for beginners, this 6 week course will take you through everything you need to know about making your new favourite mugs and cups on and off the pottery wheel. From wheel throwing skills, trimming and attaching handles, to decorating and glazing. Our experienced tutor will guide you every step of the way.

Hand Building Jugs, Pitchers, and Carafes | OCTOBER Beginner

Add a splash of style to your events by joining us to make your own jug/pitcher/carafe! During the class you’ll be taught a variety of handbuilding techniques including pinching, coiling and using slabs. The class is suitable for all abilities and you’ll be supported every step of the way to create your desired vessel. All materials, tuition and firings are included in the price.

Glazing and Decorating | October

Wheel Skills, throwing BIG | OCTOBER

Level up your wheel throwing with our tutor George Buchan! Wheel skills is a class where everything you make will be recycled at the end. You will not take any work home, we will not fire any work from this class. The purpose is to learn new skills and improve existing ones.

Spaces are limited – offered on a first come first served basis, get in touch early to avoid disappointment

Cancellation Policy:
If we do not have enough people booked onto a class 72 hours before it is due to start, we will cancel it and send full refunds to anyone booked on. 

If you are booked on and wish to cancel, you must let us know as soon as possible. 
We will issue a full refund until 7 days before the workshop is due to start. 
If you cancel 7 days or less before the workshop is due to start we will issue a 50% refund.
If you cancel 72 hours (3 days) or less before the class is due we will not issue a refund.
