Planters (Beginner) – Jen Cook
Day Course – 1 session
£50 (£45 for members)
Class 2 – Saturday 27/08/22 between 10:00 – 13:00
Join us in this workshop to design and create your own planter (or two) using hand building techniques. The session is designed for all skill levels, so even if it’s your first time with clay, everyone will be able to leave with a planter they can be proud of.
During the workshop you can choose from a range of templates to make a slab built planter, or you could use the coil method to make a wider range of shapes. You can then decorate this however you want; carve it, add decorations, imprint patterns, stamp it or use underglazes and slips to add colour – the choice is yours.
If you have a plant needing a pot at home, bring the pot dimensions with you, and we can make sure your creation will fit it once it’s been through the kiln.
Your piece will be dried, fired and glazed with a clear glaze by our skilled technicians, and will then be ready for you to collect and use later.
