PLEASE NOTE: in response to government guidance around COVID-19, DCW will be closed until further notice. We’re currently working on plans for reopening later in summer. Please see our Facebook for updates. [updated 9 July]
We currently offer two tiers of membership at the workshop: Standard Membership and Studio Membership.
This membership gives you access to our workshop during open hours, where you can use our facilities to focus on your own work. It includes:
- Access to the workshop, including wheels, tools and other facilities
- Access to clay, glazes, slips and other materials
- Access to our kiln for firings
- 10% discount on courses
- Participation in members projects including markets, workshops and exhibitions
Annual cost: £35 (£25 for students, graduates up to one year after graduation, the unemployed or underemployed)
Session fee per visit: pop-in (up to two hours) – £2.50; daily – £5.00
Wheel drop in session (unsupervised, up to 2 hours) – £5.00
Our workshop includes four studio units for ceramic artists to rent as studio members. As well as the benefits that standard membership offers, access is 24/7, and these units provide a great space for fine and applied artists to work from – each includes a worktable, stool and shelving for storage, and studio members are welcome to use the rest of the workshop when it’s not booked for classes. These spaces are rented month-to-month, with a month’s notice required before ending a lease.
Monthly rent: £75 (£60 for students, graduates up to one year after graduation, the unemployed or underemployed)
We currently have one studio unit available! If you would be interested in renting this space, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that due to COVID-19 restrictions, only one person can use the space at a time – a schedule is decided in advance among Studio Members.
