Wheel throwing and handbuilding
£235 (£212 for members)
Unsure of whether Wheel Throwing or Hand Building is for you? Learn the basics of both during this six week course with tutor Sophia Lappe.
Our tutor will guide you through a variety of fundamental processes used within ceramics. The process of wheel throwing will be taught, from centering the clay to pulling walls. You will also learn how to hand build through pinch pots, slab building and coiling; and during the final session you can decorate and glaze your creations before taking them home.
These classes are ideal for complete beginners, and are also great for those who have tried ceramics but would like to refine their skills.
