Using the worksheets, images, books and photographs to stimulate ideas, you will learn the basics of modelling the human (animal) head. This will be fashioned on a clay slab wrapped round scrunched up newspaper, fixed on a slab base.

The emphasis will be on creating character by distorting, and/or exaggerating facial features and expressions, possibly by observing those who happen to be attending the class, or by using a mirror or quite simply by looking at the illustrations provided on worksheets if you feel shy. Its up to you.

The finished article will then be dried and ultimately fired to stoneware temperature to make it frost proof. It can be fixed to a garden wall or fence, or displayed on an interior wall, whichever you prefer.

Cancellation Policy:
If we do not have enough people booked onto a class 72 hours before it is due to start, we will cancel it and send full refunds to anyone booked on. 

If you are booked on and wish to cancel, you must let us know as soon as possible. 
We will issue a full refund until 7 days before the workshop is due to start. 
If you cancel 7 days or less before the workshop is due to start we will issue a 50% refund.
If you cancel 72 hours (3 days) or less before the class is due we will not issue a refund. 

Exceptions: if someone tests positive for Covid or is asked to self isolate within the restricted cancellation period, they will receive a full refund, if evidence can be provided.
