Contemporary Cabbageware

Maria Howard

Contemporary Cabbageware | Maria Howard
Saturday 01/04/23 between 14:00 – 16:00
£45 (£40 for members and under 16’s)

Inspired by the trend for plates and bowls in the shape of cabbage or lettuce leaves which began in the 18th century, this workshop will show participants how to make contemporary versions of this beloved style, using leaves from their own houseplants, veg boxes or back gardens.

Maria will guide you through the design process as well as the cutting, shaping and decorating. All pieces will be clear glazed by DCW after the bisque firing to ensure they are functional as well as decorative.

The workshop is designed for all skill levels – beginners are more than welcome!

*under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
